Hobbit hole in Lake George

Newly built hobbit house in Lake George NY at the foot hills of the Adirondacks!

Please note we are not located on the lake however we are 5 minutes away from public lake access and beaches.

Attention winter guests November through March. It is highly recommend you have a four wheel drive vehicle. This rental is located on an un paved road which in winter weather can be unpredictable and cause road challenges. While we do maintain the roads by plowing and salting you may find you will have to park further down hill and walk the remainder of roadway to access rental during times of poor weather. Please also note pathways from parking areas to rentals are also not paved and can be icy and slippery. It is recommended to wear hiking boots, ice grips on your shoes or snow shoes.

Kitchenette with sink, electric cooktop, mini fridge, coffee press and maker, toaster, microwave, and bar seating. Fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware, and grilling utensils. We DO NOT provide paper towels as they are wasteful and overused. We do however provide kitchen towels. If you need more at any point during your stay we will gladly refresh the for you

Wood burning hot tub.Hot tub is for seasonal use. Season is typically from May through October but may vary based on weather conditions. Please inquire about hot tub usage availability if booking in either November or April as we may open early or close later depending on weather conditions.

Cabin is located at our resort among other cabins. You will also have access to resort amenities such as the pool (shared) and WiFi.

WiFi disclaimer

Please note that we are in the mountains with limited cell towers and cable internet service. When there is a surge of people in the area WiFi and cell service tend to bog down. Service is best early morning before 8 am and after 11 pm as usage is down at these times. This is not a problem just at our resort but all over the area given the terrain and limited cell towers. Weekends are the worst of times and weekdays have much better service as there are less people in the area fighting for the same service.

Guests will have access to the hobbit house which comes with a private firepit, charcoal grill.

Please note this is an active construction area with other buildings being built in the area. You may encounter construction noise and equipment.

There are other hobbit houses, treehouses, and other uniquely designed rentals in close proximity.

Cell phone service is poor inside becasue you are underground. Simply step outside for bes reception. WIFI is not a problem inside the hobbit,

the hobbit house. Step outside for best service results don’t forget your underground.

Pool season is typically Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend but dates may vary depending on weather conditions.
